each day you climb higher and higher; and even if you’re not certain of where the ascension leads, you know it’s better than plummeting back down to where you came from. is this fear or wisdom? can both coexist? one thing worth knowing, remembering, is that your climb is worthy of prestige. do you even know what you’ve done? you have single-handedly changed your life! you made the choice not to remain stagnant, so don’t let up now.
increase your momentum, not in speed but in passion and purpose. that is true progress. there is no rush! there is only the steady climb; the intention to improve and the synchronistic movement of each limb. this is the importance of loving self to completion. every part of you is important. each portion serves the whole. it is the collaboration of these limbs that allow you to move. it is true we must remove the hand that causes us to sin or fall? might there be more power in learning its behavior and training it to align with the mission of the whole? just something to think about.
i’ve said for a long time, “i don’t think the point is to be fearless. i think the point is to be courageous; to do the scary thing anyway. fear is needed because it can keep you safe, but it can also keep you stuck.” and it still serves me well to be reminded.
the fear of falling may not serve you, but the fear of staying put will.
peace be.
